"Who's better, Kobe, Lebron or Wade?" Shaq or Duncan?
"How to become a Parisian as Iverson or Kidd?".
If you look at most of the associated basketball forums, discussions and blogs on the web, you will find these types of issues as well as more like them.Persons wishing to discuss the best, or wanting to be a star like these. What those seeking self, "what should I do to be the best, I can be?".Is it really as much as those above?I don't know if...
Without the intention to take something away from the talents and skills of the athletes above, I have a question. "".What none of them is to make the game of basketball better? "Have they pioneer?". And more importantly, "that our sport has become?".
Have a love for basketball, growing up as a child at the age of and admire these big bird, Magic, and Michael, one would think that I would have no problem with the State of modern basketball in its current form. But as a pure basketball I must admit that I find in myself a bitterness when I watch the arrogance and selfishness of the players of today. When I see lack total and full of role models and leadership and overall apathy for what was once, in my mind anyway, the largest of all sports teams, it saddens me.
Basketball was a sport a moment where the fundamentals, smarts and dedication, in most cases dictated champions.Real champions and real leaders! There was a time when the fundamental rules were constructed on the set of Dr. Naismith were respectées.Plusieurs times in the game today, these rules only apply plus.Une tour travel is rarely called or often totally ignored.Which would have been like a postponement is now considered moving spectaculaire.Et, therefore our game beloved basketball has been hijacked by thugs whose only motivation is money, career, and a love of self. Bill Laimbeer would be regarded as a prince of number of those that we admire today.
This mentality has not only affected the professional ranks, but has also begun to take root in our colleges and polluted already many involved in high school athletics.
Anyone who has never followed the game of basketball is familiar and can readily admit that the physical capabilities of current athletes trumps those players in the past. But the game in the past had something that our modern version has lost somewhere along the way, and that can never be recovered.
There was a time when players who walked on the wood to competition as warriors, as a "band of brothers" variety. Although the team may have what would be considered a superstar, every player on the team, including that superstar, knew that they play a role, a job to do, and accountability to their team and their fans.
There was also the leaders then. What are these men who were considered to be superstars in their day.But the difference between the past and today was the way they saw the game. Remember to Jerry West. Or Bill Russell.Ou, as I said, Magic, bird or M.J.. Yes, they were of superstars.Yes, they took many plans.Yes, they transported with their self-confidence and pride in what they have done the.Unlike current superstars, but they were not only athletes of mega... they were dirigeants.Et Unlike today's superstars, they believed themselves not be superior to the game or the team in which they have been a part of.But rather these men all players of the team around them better.Ask those who have played with eux.Il has several other that we could talk about here, but they are only those which come to mind at the moment.
None of these large, until the game became a stain, won their Championships based only on their single talent.Neither has Kobe this last saison.Ils won because not only they have much, but they have made to the quantity in them players.Even those they have played against!Their desire to win was not dictated by or not they
liked their coach, or if there was a nice, fat bonuses waiting at the fin.Il was decided because they loved the game, and because they themselves have seen as a part of something more grand.En same time, there was a proud to be part of the history of the "more great game ever played."
Our sport has lost its chemin.Il lost integrity, honor, heart and spirit which made grand.Et unless that has been lost is again, the real game of basketball is effectué.Tout as Lazarus called tomb statements after dying, unless we have renewed the essence of what basketball is really, it will not only be ridiculous that it is today... it will not dead.
Perhaps, in a manner which does would be not one if bad chose.Au less without money, the crying and mega athletes gâtée, we could have players and coaches who did for love of the game to item.we would same glory integrity and real return in our sport. maybe we could return to have a game which is worth watching and playing again.
